The Humanitarian Hub for Community Impact Affinity (CIA) is pleased to announce the forthcoming Public Lecture organized by one of its active international partners — College of Diplomatic Studies and International Relations (CDSIR). Themed “Diplomacy in a Contemporary Society: The Pathway for Lasting Peace”, the lecture is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 6th August 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Hall, Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters, Maitama, Abuja.
The event promises to be a landmark convergence of diplomatic thinkers, traditional rulers, scholars, and global peace advocates.
Notably, the Chairman of the Occasion is His Royal Majesty, Professor Adelola Saka Matemilola, the Paramount Ruler (Olowu) of Owu Kingdom and CIA’s Global Ambassador. His presence underscores the significance of traditional diplomacy in contemporary governance and peacebuilding.
The lecture will also feature the induction of prominent CIA figures:
- Amb. Dr. Otunba Adejare Adegbenro, the head of CIA partner organization- Otunba Adejare Adegbenro Foundation, will be inducted as a Fellow of the College.
- HRM (Amb.) Mrs. Adabota Lydia Jaja, CIA Ambassador for Education and Gender, will also be inducted.
CIA sees this event as a powerful platform for networking, collaboration, and strengthening partnerships towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The presence of CIA Ambassadors, partners, and supporters is highly anticipated, making this lecture a symbol of unity, progress, and shared commitment to global peace.
