Humanitarian Hub for Community Impact Affinity (CIA), a transnational NGO committed to promoting sustainable development, peace, and youth empowerment, has received Special Accreditation from the United Nations to participate in the upcoming High-Level Plenary Meeting of the General Assembly to Commemorate the Thirtieth Anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth.
The historic high-level meeting, convened by the President of the General Assembly, is scheduled to take place on September 25, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The meeting, guided by resolution A/RES/79/289, will be held under the overall theme:
“World Programme of Action for Youth at 30: Accelerating Global Progress through Intergenerational Collaboration.”
In an official statement issued on the evening of Tuesday, July 29th, shortly after receiving the accreditation correspondence from the UN Headquarters, Amb. Wilson Babangida Agboti, CIA’s Chief Operating Officer and Founding Chairman, expressed deep appreciation to the United Nations for recognizing CIA’s active contributions to advancing youth-focused global agendas.
“This accreditation is a profound acknowledgment of our unwavering commitment to the ideals of the World Programme of Action for Youth. CIA remains determined to contribute meaningfully to the global dialogue on youth, peace, and development,” Amb. Agboti stated.
He further noted that CIA’s delegation to the event will be drawn from its global network of members, youth ambassadors, and partner organization leaders who have demonstrated capacity and integrity to participate in such a high-level gathering.
This marks the third Special Accreditation received by CIA from the world no. 1 body in the past five months—a resounding testament to its relentless efforts in promoting diplomacy, security, and sustainable development through community impact and global partnerships.
With strategic engagements across sectors such as education, digital empowerment, water and sanitation, humanitarian services, and youth leadership development, CIA continues to affirm its position as one of Africa’s fastest-rising humanitarian and development networks with a global voice.
