Humanitarian Hub for Community Impact Affinity (CIA) is a transnational neutral NGO dedicated to championing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria and beyond, particularly in the areas of education (SDG 4), Youth Empowerment and partnerships for sustainable development (SDG 17). About CIA YEIMP ICT Scholarship
As part of its mission to equip young people with 21st-century skills, CIA launched the CIA-Youth Empowerment Initiative Master Plan (CIA-YEIMP) ICT Scholarship Program, a nationwide ICT-driven scholarship scheme aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with advanced digital skills and internationally recognized certification for free.
Background and Rationale
Nigeria faces high youth unemployment rates, limited access to quality education, and digital skill gaps that hinder economic growth. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is rapidly transforming the global job market, making ICT proficiency essential for youth to remain competitive. The CIA-YEIMP Scholarship Program seeks to bridge this gap by equipping young Nigerians with market-relevant digital skills, fostering self-reliance, and enabling them to thrive in the global digital economy. The initiative aligns with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s National Agenda for Digital Literacy and operates in collaboration with relevant ministries and authorities to ensure scalability and sustainability with collaboration of foreign IT schools and Hubs for professionalism and expertise.
Objectives
The CIA-YEIMP ICT Scholarship Program is designed to:
✅ Provide free advanced ICT training to 150 youths per Local Government Area (LGA) across Nigeria.
✅ Offer certifications and global recognition to beneficiaries, enhancing employability, entrepreneurship and exposure.
✅ Foster economic self-sufficiency by enabling youths to access remote jobs, tech startups, and freelancing opportunities.
✅ Support national digital transformation by equipping young Nigerians with the technical expertise required to compete in the global digital economy.
✅ Promote community engagement by encouraging beneficiaries to train others, ensuring a multiplier effect in skill development

Target Beneficiaries
The scholarship is open to:
- Nigerian youths with a passion for technology.
- Underprivileged individuals and marginalized communities who lack access to digital education.

The program will prioritize women and persons with disabilities to promote inclusivity and gender balance in the digital economy.
